What stood out most was how helpful the staff were. We needed to change our train tickets, and Roxanne and Louis at the front desk were incredibly patient and helped us through it. The taller front desk staff member with glasses had also done her best the night before, though we couldn't sort it out then. The room was okay, and the location suited our plans well. We stayed here on a recent trip to Normandy and could reach both the D-day beaches and Etretat from this central spot. Great team at Mercure Cabourg Hotel & Spa.

The pool was pleasant, though its liner needs replacing and the area gets crowded quickly. Some spa equipment either didn't work properly or took ages to warm up. The hotel itself is nice but dated, and the rooms need more renovation. The beds are too short, around 190cm, so my feet were out all night, and the pillows are flat. There aren't enough outlets by the bed for chargers, the TV has no connectivity for Netflix or anything similar, and the bathroom products weren't good. For a four-star Mercure, it was quite disappointing.

Breakfast was amazing, and the bar area was comfortable. The hotel is well placed for a pleasant walk through town to the beach, with plenty of restaurant choices along the way. We had a clean, comfortable room, a friendly welcome, and the spa facilities were excellent and included.

We really enjoyed our stay at this family hotel in Cabourg. The buffet breakfast was tasty, with local cheese, jams, and caramel spreads, even if there wasn't much variety. The kids' facilities are great for families, and the reception team gave us a warm, helpful welcome. The wellness area was just okay, though: the pool wasn't warm enough for us to stay long, one sauna wasn't working, and it can feel crowded when many guests check in. The hotel is around a 20-minute walk or 6-minute drive from the town centre and coast. There's a hippodrome opposite, which could be fun for horse lovers in summer. These issues wouldn't put me off booking, and I'd definitely come back if we visit this part of Normandy again. 🤩

Mercure Hotels is a chain, but Mercure Cabourg feels more like a family place. The hotel is charming, quiet, and cozy, and the breakfast is amazing, with local products. The whole team welcomed us warmly and were smiling and friendly every day. Definitely a nice place to stay. I highly recommend it.
