Villa Cabrida

Christel and Olivier are so welcoming and helpful, with plenty of recommendations to share. The villa is a great base for visiting some of France’s most beautiful villages, lavender fields, and more, with several restaurants and wineries nearby. We felt at home and would love to return. Each of the three rooms has its own terrace for privacy, a small kitchenette, and daily cleaning. The lovely garden and pool are impeccably kept. Breakfast is varied and lovingly prepared. It’s a dream villa in a peaceful spot, with clean rooms, welcoming hosts, a great breakfast, and a wonderful pool.

The town is a little remote, but it’s conveniently close to lots of touristy mountain towns, so I’d highly recommend driving. The scenery is beautiful and peaceful. We got up early to enjoy the distant mountain views, and I even sunbathed by the pool with the owner’s friendly cats in the afternoon sun. Their affectionate dog came to my feet every day to greet me warmly, and I already miss it. The cats and dogs are adorable. This made the start of my trip to the South of France feel so warm and lovely. The host was very welcoming. On arrival, they showed me around the accommodation and used a map to point out the town and nearby attractions. Since we’d traveled a long way, they also suggested several upscale restaurants nearby. We forgot to book ahead, though, and they were all full. Breakfast was incredibly generous, and the host made something different on each of the two mornings I stayed. There was sliced French bread, two kinds of honey, Nutella, three or four kinds of sliced cheese, prosciutto, juice, coffee, fresh fruit, and yogurt. On the second day, the host made delicious muffins. It was early October, already chilly, so we couldn’t use the pool. I’d highly recommend coming in summer to enjoy the place fully.

Christèle and Olivier really know how to make a stay unforgettable. We spent six nights here in July 2017. The place is absolutely magnificent, and our room was perfectly comfortable and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended, and we’ll be back next year.

We were treated so, so well by the hosts. They suggested places to visit and restaurants, and made us delicious breakfasts. It’s a beautiful, comfortable place in a very charming town. We recommend it!
