Getting there means a short but nerve-racking ride up the old, very narrow streets, and the history shared at check-in was a nice introduction to the building. The restaurant was outstanding, with lovely cooking and plenty of local character. The hotel sits inside a sleepy medieval village, and the rooms keep its fairytale feel while having thoughtful updates like air conditioning and a tiny elevator.

The service really made this hotel stand out from the other places on our trip. The young man at reception was professional and extremely helpful, and the bell service was fantastic. Our bags were brought from the car, which we’d parked almost a kilometer away. The setting is unforgettable, with stunning views and a great location. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the old-time charm of southern France.

The steep cobbled road to the west, Mnt de France, is quite a workout both up and down. The hotel itself feels upscale, and the restaurant is very good. I had no idea cod could taste that good! Service was friendly and incredibly attentive. My stay was memorable, though you’re paying to stay in a castle, so there may be places with a better price-to-quality ratio.

It was hard to get to the property by taxi, but worth the effort. The old hotel was in good condition, and the restaurant view at sunset was amazing. Thanks so much, Tim, for helping us with transportation 🫶🏼🫶🏼

We had a special family celebration dinner here and loved the relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. The food was beautiful, the service excellent, and the restaurant views incredible. The hotel and restaurant have been restored with care and good taste, and the restaurant is now run by a Swedish restauranteur. Thanks to the whole team for making us feel so welcome.
