Hotel L'Empreinte

The staff were kind and helpful, and the room was clean and quiet. The bathroom could use a bit of renovation. Breakfast was okay, but I’d have liked eggs, scrambled or an omelette, and some vegetables. Without those, it was mostly pastries, jam, ham, and cheese.

The WORST experience. This felt like a SCAM at a five-star price. We checked in late on May 18, 2023, and had to leave by 7am because the conditions made it impossible to stay. My partner stayed until around 9 or 10am to pack our things, then checked out too. We’d booked four nights but couldn’t manage more than six hours. Staff noise kept me awake from about 1am to 4am, with footsteps running along the hallway. The air conditioning didn’t work and I was hot the whole time. The sink was clogged and extremely disgusting, there was mold on the walls, and the shower floor shifted as if it might break and made a lot of noise when I stepped on it. I sent photos showing why staying there was impossible and asked for a refund, since I’d stayed only one night and needed another hotel where I could actually sleep and rest after work. They charged the full amount and then ghosted me.

I only stayed for a few hours, but the receptionist was helpful. I got room N1, which I later found out was an Accessible Room (H), but that wasn’t a big deal. Checkout was smooth and professional.

The staff were friendly and the rooms clean, and the price was good. It’s a handy base for taking the train to Cannes, Niça, or Mònaco. I’d definitely recommend doing that.
