Palais Saint Pierre

Honestly, this place was shocking. The room was tiny and nothing like the Booking.com photos or description. The floors were dirty, and it was basically a kitchen with an uncomfortable double bed squeezed in. The freezer had random food left inside, the wall lamp didn’t work, the AC was smashed and unusable, and the WiFi was awful. The walls are thin too. The host was terrible to communicate with. On the first day I called to ask about parking because the instructions weren’t clear. He just said “message,” so I did right after we hung up, and I still haven’t had a reply. We had to work it out ourselves with help from the lovely bartender next door. Overall, a terrible place to stay. You can find much better in Cagnes/Antibes.

There was no soap, just one roll of toilet paper for the whole week, and a dirty knife. The owner never answered my messages. I could keep listing complaints.

The unit didn’t feel secure because it wouldn’t lock, and the bathroom door handle was broken. The bed was hard, like sleeping on a wooden floor, and the WiFi didn’t work. The courtyard was filthy and covered in cigarette butts. The owner was very rude. He gave me the wrong directions for getting in, then yelled and hung up on me several times when I called. A terrible place. Stay somewhere else.

We booked the apartment on the same day after our plans changed. Its best feature is the location, handy for the sea and walking to restaurants. But parking in the lot out front isn’t free, you pay for the length of your stay. The bathroom was very small, and the kitchen utensils need replacing. There wasn’t even a kettle, and it’s a shame that a rented apartment in France, the country of wine, had no wine glasses. The fridge’s freezer compartment was dirty. With a few small improvements, the apartment could be a fantastic place to stay.
