Breakfast was a pleasant part of the stay, with plenty of choice and a clean restaurant. It was all-you-can-eat, and the staff were attentive. The hotel's own restaurant was closed on Sunday night. Reception was bright and lively, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a ground-floor room, which was lucky as there was no lift. The bed was comfy, if a bit hard, and the room was clean, though small and very dated. Outside, the hotel looked dilapidated, and the derelict hotel next door somehow looked nicer. The car park didn't feel reassuring for leaving our car overnight. Our small bathroom was scruffy and smelled a bit; the shower tiles were mouldy, and my wife refused to use the shower. This was OK for a two-star hotel, but it was supposed to be a three-star place and fell well short. It needs an upgrade or a rebrand as an ibis budget.

Friendly staff, and it was nice to find a dog-friendly place. We had our pup with us and met several other dogs. It's also very close to les shuttle. The room could definitely use an upgrade, and I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure there was black mold in it. Sound carried everywhere, from footsteps to the heavy doors that seemed to slam constantly. Aside from the possible mold, it was an OK place for one night before we headed off.

The room was comfortable, clean, and basic, with coffee and tea facilities but no milk. There was no way to fill the kettle at the sink, so I had to take off the shower head and use the hose.

The clean hotel and very friendly, polite staff made a good impression. The maid was especially lovely, always checking if we needed anything for the bedroom. One annoying thing: when you push the two single beds together to make a double, they keep coming apart, so you're forever having to put them back together.

A great place to stop before a late crossing from Calais port. The rooms were clean, the beds very comfortable, and it had everything you need without any frills.
