The room was cosy and comfortable, and the bed was great. We had a top view over the bay, and the price felt good for what we got. Reception were smiley and really helpful. I’d happily return.

The room was small, with a little window facing the street, but the hotel itself was clean and nicely placed in Calvi’s Port area. Reception staff were welcoming and very helpful. The public car park is across the road and gets very busy, and parking costs 15 euros a day. Everything around Calvi is only a short walk away.

The reception team made a big impression on us, especially the two young women there. They were warm and helpful in a way that felt natural, and we’d gladly come back. We had a lovely time in Calvi, helped along by Hotel Belvedere’s great position beside the famous Citadel and just a couple of minutes from the marina and old town streets. It’s a three-star place, so don’t expect luxury, but it’s comfortable enough and far from primitive. Our room was cleaned every day and was perfectly pleasant.

We were moved to a room with an ocean view and a view of the war memorial without even having to ask, which we really appreciated. The staff were attentive and friendly. After five days hiking with Altipiani, we were ready for breakfast, and it was filling and just right. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable.

I was travelling alone and paid 51 euros a night for a single room in the off-season. It’s fine if all you need is somewhere to sleep, and the location is good. I imagine it gets noisy in summer, though. I’ve stayed in nicer places for the same price, so I wouldn’t choose this one if you plan to spend much time in your room. They also charge one euro for 24 hours of internet, which seemed pretty ridiculous. The receptionist was very kind.
