We felt comfortable there, and everyone was very friendly.

The generous breakfast had plenty of variety, and the bed was excellent. We spent one night in this lovely, character-filled place, where our hostess was charming and attentive. It was very peaceful, and we'd gladly recommend it.

Corinne gave us a very warm welcome, and the rooftop terrace looking out over Calvisson was a real highlight. The house matched its description and is worth recommending, especially when the weather isn't so hot. It's a well-kept, very clean medieval house with charming, individually chosen furnishings. The owner was exceptionally friendly and did everything she could to make our stay pleasant. Parking spaces were usually available. There were some drawbacks. The house has lots of steps, even between rooms, and little insulation. That was very noticeable in August, when it was close to 40 degrees. Wi-Fi was sometimes weak, and the attic kitchen was very small. The makeshift sewage system also meant the attic sometimes smelled unpleasant. Getting rid of plastic waste was difficult. A family of four goes through a lot of water bottles, the house bin filled up right away, and France doesn't have a commercial recycling system.

We stayed in the apartment, so breakfast wasn't included, though there are several places in the village where you can get it. There are plenty of restaurants too, from tapas and Chinese food to pancakes. We enjoyed the village and the surrounding area. The B&B is in a lovely, authentic French village, and the historic building has been beautifully restored. Our room was nicely furnished in keeping with its original style. The one thing we found a bit unfortunate was that the owner got up at 7:00 every day and started washing dishes straight away.

We stayed at "Bed and Art" in May 2014, and what stayed with us most was how warmly the owners treated us. They made us feel at home and even pampered us. The room was welcoming, the breakfast was excellent and plentiful, and the owners were so kind. Over the years, they have skillfully renovated this splendid medieval tower. The care put into the furnishings, restoration, and cleanliness reflects their real talent for hospitality.
