Camping Bixta Eder

The receptionist was a very nice, pretty lady.

The main road noise was unbearable, and the pitch area was somewhat neglected, with brambles scattered around. Still, the staff were welcoming and understanding, the sanitary facilities were clean, and the accommodating, honest owner refunded me when I left early. That’s not something that often happens elsewhere.

The campsite was generally peaceful and especially relaxing with its many spa visitors. It’s well placed for activities around the region, from hiking and beaches to museums. The site is fenced, which reduced the risk of our cat escaping, and the sanitary facilities were clean. The baby area, with a changing table and bathtub, was well suited. About 80% of the pitches we saw had good shade. On the downside, the €1.10 pastry wasn’t very fresh. Traffic from the D932 departmental road below could also be heard, depending on the pitch. This was our stay from August 5th to 20th.

We spent three weeks here in October. The campsite was quiet, with clean, nicely defined pitches, though a little more gravel would have been good. The staff and owner were friendly. Thanks again.
