During our four-day hiking tour, the owners made us feel incredibly welcome. Karine and Gilles serve delicious food family-style with the other guests, and clearly put a lot of care into using hyper-local produce. The rooms were very comfortable, and we slept like logs. It’s a very special place, and we’d love to return with our kids.

After a walk down from La Mongie, we stopped for coffee. The owners were so friendly, and Usko the dog was too. They suggested a lovely short walking circuit by the local waterfalls, about an hour long. We liked the welcome and advice so much that we came back for lunch before heading up to La Mongie. Lovely place and people, highly recommend!

The hosts helped us plan our route and shared information about the trails. They use local artisan Al products, and the vegetarian options were good after we gave them a heads up. This is a beautiful spot to stop on the GR10, and a great place for a bite. The refuge feels both luxurious and very friendly, and the hosts clearly take pride in their work and the dinner they serve. Bring ear plugs in case the happy cows munching outside your window wake you up!

Our hosts were warm and friendly, and made us feel welcome. Each night we had a delicious multi-course meal with dessert, and even the vegetarians in our group had tasty options. There are hiking trails close by, and Pic du Midi isn’t far away. We had a lovely stay!

After a long, hard day of walking, this felt like an oasis of heaven. The host gave us a very warm welcome, and there was a lovely garden to relax in. Cold beer on tap, hot showers, everything very clean, and lovely food. Nicest gîte we stayed at.
