Châtelet de Campo

The mountain views from the well-kept rooms were lovely, and the location made it easy to reach great hikes and small villages. Breakfast was freshly prepared with ingredients from the garden. Elizabeth and her husband put so much care into maintaining the place, and they were incredibly kind, which made our stay feel even more special. This was one of the best places I've stayed, and I'd recommend it without hesitation.

The breakfast was a favorite, and Elisabeth was there each day with suggestions for what to see. The Maison is beautifully decorated, with plenty of places to sit and unwind. Elisabeth and Dominique made it feel more like visiting a family than staying at a hotel. I wish I could have stayed longer. Thanks for a great visit, I'd definitely recommend it.

We loved our stay so much that we cancelled our Airbnb before even spending our first full night at the Chatelet and came back toward the end of our trip. Elisabeth and Dominique have been on the island for over 20 years and shared tips for hikes, beaches and local restaurants. Their own story and background are fascinating, and they were wonderful hosts. The gardens, pool, mountains and forests put you right in nature, while the four bedrooms offer privacy and proper downtime. We felt lucky to find this beautiful 1900s Corsican Chatelet tucked away in the mountains, far from the other crowds of tourists. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime chance to step back in time.

The house was spacious, very clean and full of country charm. We loved the beautiful grounds and village, with birdsong all around and the occasional greeting from a donkey. The hosts were friendly, helpful and had plenty of good suggestions for places to visit. May was a lovely time to see the island: flowers were in bloom, the weather was warm and sunny, and there were no crowds. We had the roads and restaurants to ourselves, so we can really recommend visiting in the off-season. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chalet de Campo.
