The setting was really pleasant, and our waitress was helpful. The meal itself was a letdown: the seafood was decent, though the mussels were still much too salty. My rib-eye was average and arrived cold, and the fries were nowhere near the standard we expected, more like McDonald's fries. We got there at 1:30 p.m. and waited until 3 p.m. to be seated, then until 4 p.m. before food started coming. By after 5 p.m. we had to leave without trying dessert. Four hours for one meal is far too long. If you're short on time, I'd go somewhere else.

We'd stayed here before and had a good experience, so it was disappointing to see how much potential is being missed. Breakfast was adequate, with nice, clean tableware, but the food was very basic. The entrance and stairs up to the rooms looked neglected, with sand everywhere, and housekeeping seemed lacking. The staff didn't seem motivated, or perhaps they weren't familiar with the job. A bit more effort could make this an excellent hotel.

At 4 PM, the four of us stopped in for a drink. There were still tables and chairs out on the terrace, but the waitress wouldn't seat us because she was getting ready for dinner service. If you want a warm welcome, avoid this place. Maybe this restaurant doesn't need customers.

The staff were friendly and pleasant, but service was slow even though the place wasn't very busy. Our cocktails came only after we'd finished the crepes and ice cream, and we'd have preferred to have them alongside the food. The cocktails themselves didn't taste fresh or flavorful. We ordered two Nutella crepes with vanilla ice cream and two cocktails. The crepes cost €4.20 each, weren't filled very generously, and were unpleasantly chewy. From the upstairs outdoor terrace, though, there's a lovely sea view, and on a clear day you can see Mont Saint-Michel.
