Apartment MILOS Canet-Plage

I haven’t stayed here yet, but I know the area very well and the location is great and practical. The customer service is phenomenal, just what you hope for in a hotel. Looking forward to our extended stay soon.

The room was very clean and good, and having air conditioning was a real welcome. The staff were excellent and happy to help with anything. Parking instructions were clear, which made it easy to find our way in. Breakfast was a mixed experience: the first day I tried to get hot food, but it was cold, possibly because of other customers. Staff helped us find a table and were warm and welcoming. On the second day breakfast was excellent, with a nice selection. There’s no restaurant and food options at the hotel are limited, but they gave us a map and directions to some nice places. Book ahead if you’re in a big group, as they fill up. I recommend L’Cosy, and La Plage Gourmande was excellent. The lift is small and you may have to wait. The stairs are narrow, but useful.

The owners were really welcoming and friendly, and the receptionists were friendly too. The views are great, and the beach is perfect for a walk. Bring a windbreaker, as it can get windy sometimes.

Getting there is easiest by car. Without one, it’s a 45 minute bus ride from Perpignan. The number 3 bus runs every half hour, but ours left the train station early, so watch out for that. We had a lovely sea-view balcony, and the sunrise comes up on that side. If you’re up early enough, it’s worth taking some pictures. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had a huge bed that we weren’t used to. The shower pressure was low, though the water is soft here, so it was still lovely. The service was great. Everyone we spoke to among the staff spoke very good English. Our room was by the lift, so we asked to move and they changed it without question. A really nice hotel, and we’d like to come back in winter for a break from the cold.
