The staff at reception spoke English, which was helpful, and the apartments were fairly spacious. Still, I found them overpriced. Outdoor parking was limited, and some guests left their cars wherever they could. We might have been better off paying for the underground parking, since we noticed a dent in our car when we left two days ago. The room setup made it awkward to work. I would have liked a desk for my computer, but the large tables couldn't be moved between rooms. One room had a bed but no table, while the room with the fridge and oven was where we ate and cooked, so I had to clear away my laptop for meals. When it was too cold to eat on the balcony, we had to use that same table for both work and dining. Internet was advertised across the whole property, but it didn't reach the balcony. I tried to take business calls out there and couldn't because the connection wasn't available. We had booked a non-smoking apartment, yet smoke from the neighbors' balcony came into ours, which was really unpleasant. The pool was useful, especially with its outdoor shower since there was no beach shower to rinse the sand off our feet. Getting into the pool and garden meant using a key, even though a code opened the apartment building. The spot where you had to touch the key to enter the pool was surrounded by prickly bushes, so reaching it meant putting your hand into them each time. I also wanted to book a massage, but there was no information booklet in Ukrainian or English with the options and prices, so I couldn't find out what was available or order one. We stayed three weeks because we wanted to visit the area and couldn't find a better place here, but I don't think we'd come back.

We needed somewhere near the beach that would welcome our dogs, and this worked out really well. Our room was spacious and clean, with just a couple of small faults. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food was good for the price and quality, there was a decent choice of drinks, and the spa facilities were excellent.

The thalassotherapy facilities were a real highlight of our three-day mother-daughter break, and we enjoyed using all of them. The Grand Hotel's interiors are beautiful, and our spacious room had perfect bedding. Service was excellent throughout. Breakfast had plenty of appealing choices and we ate on the terrace overlooking the sea. Thanks to the hotel for a fabulous weekend. We'd happily recommend it, it deserves its four stars.

The pool access rules made this weekend especially frustrating. We booked in part because of the heated 33°C pool, but our four-year-old couldn't join us outside the designated children's times, which were 12:30-2:30 pm and 6-7:45 pm. Those slots fell right in the middle of meals. We asked reasonably for a one-time exception for a short period and were flatly refused, with no flexibility or customer service. My partner, our son and I stayed at Grand Hôtel Les Flamants Roses on December 13th and 14th. We had been there in January 2023 and had a good experience, so we booked again confidently. This visit was a major letdown. The room didn't match the advertised standard. The mattress sagged and the bedding was worn. Cleanliness was poor, with dust, badly scaled faucets and traces of mold. There were insects in the room, and we have photos. The facilities also felt dated for a four-star hotel: the TV wasn't smart and the Wi-Fi kept cutting out. There was also an unleashed dog at the entrance, running around and barking at guests. Our son was very scared. That felt like a serious safety issue and shouldn't happen at a hotel of this level. Compared with our previous stay, the decline was obvious. Comfort, cleanliness and family facilities no longer seem in line with a four-star rating. It was deeply disappointing, and we absolutely don't want to return.
