We were in town for work, and getting to the Palais des Festivals was easy from this apartment. The building’s architecture and design have real character. Inside, the rooms are simple but comfortable and kept in good condition. The host was professional and easy to get hold of. We’ll be back.

We’ve been coming back at least once a year since 2011. The apartment has lovely French-style furnishings, was spotless, and had very good equipment, including a TV and air conditioning. There’s also a balcony looking out over Cannes’ rooftops. It’s on a pretty little traffic-free street with nice restaurants, close to the beach and shopping centre.

The shower in the supposedly upscale two-room apartment leaked all over the place, and the cleaning staff acted as if they owned it. I couldn’t even sleep in, and on a business trip the whole thing felt like a nightmare. This came after a disastrous 15-day stay in one of their studios, where I had to put up with sweltering heat and the nonstop noise of a portable air conditioner. Even the manager couldn’t sort things out, and there was constant complaining in the hallways.

We’re happy to stay here every year. It’s bright and pleasant, the beds are excellent, and we got a very warm welcome. Shops, the station, and the Croisette are all nearby in the heart of Cannes.
