Hôtel le Romanesque

The location is perfect, within walking distance of the beach and other places. The rooms are okay, but it’s basically just a room. There’s no reception and nobody around, so arriving was a struggle. After an hour of waiting and calling, it eventually worked out.

I was here for a few business nights, and the staff were kind throughout. They even arranged an early taxi to the airport when I asked. My room was tidy and very nice, especially the balcony where I could sit after work. It’s a quaint, well-located hotel within walking distance of the city centre and beach. I’d absolutely recommend it to friends or family visiting Cannes.

The room and AC were comfortable, and the location is fantastic. The bathroom felt a bit uncomfortable, and the carpet was nasty, so make sure to wear sandals. The room was good overall, and I’d totally recommend it for a short stay, about a week or so.

Hôtel Le Romanesque sits right among bars and clubs, which can be handy if you’re here to party, but street-facing rooms may make a quiet night difficult. Whether you’ll like this hotel really depends on your taste. The location is convenient and the staff are friendly, though there’s no traditional hotel lobby, and it’s sometimes closed in the day, usually around 14h00 - 17h00, though the hours seem to vary. There’s no elevator, so stairs may be a concern if you have lots of luggage or limited mobility, especially for older visitors. The rooms had a bit of a strange smell, but opening the windows helped. The sheets were thin and showed some wear. Our room had a shower open to the bedroom, which might suit couples, but other travelers should know about it. We didn’t order breakfast, so I can’t comment on its quality. It didn’t seem as though anyone else was interested in breakfast there either.
