Balladins Cannes-La Bocca

A clean, comfortable room with good air conditioning made my one-night stay enjoyable. There’s a microwave and a tea pot in the lobby, and both a grocery store and McDonald's are right next door. The owner was very friendly, and for this area the hotel is great value. I’d happily come back.

The parking situation was ridiculous. The person who met us told us to use the McDonald's parking lot, and within 30 minutes of checking in, some guys there wanted to damage our motorbike. We also found the room dirty, with dust, a smell, stains on the walls that looked like mosquitoes and human stuff, and an extra door that had never been explained or described. I’d arrived from Barcellona by motorbike at 22.00 as a last-minute guest and paid 80euros for the room. After about 15 minutes, we decided to leave. We were afraid we might not find our motorbike on the street, so I took 7 Pics quickly. Nobody was at reception, and the number didn’t answer, so we checked out after 2 hours. I texted them, but a week has passed and nobody has replied. Irresponsible owner and dirty place. A horrible experience, not secure. If you respect yourself, don’t come here, even for 1 night.

What stood out most was the customer service. We arrived in Cannes at very short notice and very late, but the manager was incredibly accommodating. The hotel was quiet and peaceful, clean, tidy and functional, with very efficient air conditioning. It’s within easy walking distance of Cannes Mandelieu airport, so it’s handy for pilots coming and going. And if you land late and are hungry, the McDonalds next door is convenient.

There’s a MCDonalds nearby, plus a supermarket, cafes and restaurants. The staff were very nice, and I was pleased with my stay. When I had a car accident on the way and called to say I couldn’t arrive that day, the hotel changed my dates without question, trouble or penalties.
