I can’t understand who gave this hotel four stars. We paid 1,300 Euros for two nights, and the service was ridiculous for that price. My wife is disabled, but there was no handicap access. Parking and breakfast were supposed to be free when I booked, yet I had to pay extra. Parking cost 30 Euros a day, and nobody was there to park my car. Our room was two blocks away from the hotel, outside its main campus. No one helped with our luggage on arrival or took it downstairs at check-out. The young woman at the front door was rude and had a bad attitude. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the center, but the route went past shady people, and I didn’t feel safe. As someone attending the Cannes festival, I felt the hotel was taking advantage of people like me, whose event brings business to places like this. I’d give it two stars and require staff training.

At the Golden Tulip, we had a wonderful stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and roomy, and the staff were welcoming and helpful from the start. It’s a handy spot for exploring, while still quiet enough to sleep well. Breakfast was okay. We’d happily return!

The room and bathroom had plenty of space for the five of us, and the center was relatively close. But the breakfast spread was poor, with lots of flies on the fruit, and I suddenly felt noxious while eating. The staff’s English was barely understandable, and when we checked in, they put all our luggage, including the handbags, in another room. The receptionist’s mood clearly shifted when the conversation changed from French to English. The route to the center smelled extremely bad. Fine if all you want is a room. Don’t be taken in by the four stars in the name.

The room was much too small for three of us. Still, the man who brought our bags and made sure we had everything we needed was absolutely amazing. His service made our stay, and we’re so grateful to him.

Nolwenn deserves a special thank you. The staff were very friendly, the room cleaning was great, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. It’s a 10-minute walk to the city center.
