Hotel Barriere Le Majestic

Our room service food arrived lukewarm, the bar service was terrible, and we could hear the neighbors talking. Staff also rearranged our things while servicing the room, apparently to make them look pleasing, even though they weren’t moving them to clean. I don’t want strangers going through my belongings. Worse, my laptop charger was stolen from our suite, which we were using as a meeting room during a business conference. I reported it at reception and got the expected response that theft was “not possible,” with no support from staff. Other reviews have also mentioned theft here, so be warned. Unacceptable for a “5 star hotel” charging £700/night.

Every email I sent was answered incredibly quickly, with clear and warm replies that showed real care. Béatrice GAGNAIRE handled each request with precision and kindness, and her attention made the whole process smooth and stress-free. She made me feel valued as a guest and showed a level of professionalism and efficiency that stands out in luxury hospitality. Le Majestic Cannes is lucky to have someone like her representing the hotel. Béatrice is a rare gem and a real asset to the Majestic experience. Thank you for the outstanding service. This time I’d rate our stay 3/5, and sadly we’ll most likely not return next year. Last year, when we first chose your hotel for my birthday, we were delighted by the service, food, and thoughtful birthday surprise in our room. My husband booked a Prestige room with a sea view for four nights as a surprise this year. The food, service, and room cleanliness were all wonderful again, but some details didn’t match last year. At check-in, my husband mentioned this was our second year celebrating my birthday there, though he’d already put that in the reservation notes. The receptionist seemed surprised. On my birthday, we hoped for even a small card like the one from last year, but nothing had been prepared. Turndown service happened only twice in the four nights. There was also a day of heavy rain. We’d used the balcony sun lounger on sunny days, but afterward it was left with a towel over its completely soaked mattress. I tilted it to help it dry and a bucketful of water poured out, so we couldn’t use it again for the rest of the stay. I turned the mattress and put it in the sun myself. By the end of the day, most of the water had drained and it was almost dry.

We booked through The Travel Cure Company and had a brilliant experience. The hotel feels luxurious, has a peaceful beach club, and is in a great location. The staff are a real credit to the place, especially Ambre, and everyone tried their best to make our stay special. Highly recommend.
