Hôtel Cannes Croisette

The photos on Booking.com make the hotel look okay, but I found them inaccurate. The door locks didn’t work, and when I complained, staff didn’t offer to fix them and just made excuses. The elevator and rooms are tiny, and some rooms only have one small window set very high up. If you’re claustrophobic, avoid this place.

The receptionist was wonderful, and I was impressed by how convenient the location was. I didn’t need a car. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well equipped. The elevator is very small, but that didn’t bother me. I’ll definitely return.

Location, location, location. It’s right in the centre and the price was hard to beat for that spot in August, just over €100 on a Friday night. The room was a good size, with a comfortable bed, air conditioning, and was clean. Friendly staff spoke several languages, and the entrance was nice. The price differed from what the website showed, though. The bed was a king size made from two mattresses that kept sliding apart at night. There’s still carpet on the floors, and the bathroom’s loose bits of silicone made it look unclean. We also had a neighbor smoking pot from 5pm until morning. There’s no private parking.

The elevator was the main problem: too small for two people, and it broke down soon after we used it. The room itself was tiny but functional and generally clean, though there were a few hairs in the shower from previous guests. The bed was fine, the air conditioning worked well, and the window opened. There was a complimentary bottle of water, and the staff were friendly enough and spoke English.
