Hotel Carolina

Caroline made my stay much easier. She let me into an available room before check-in when I arrived exhausted, and quickly sorted out a noisy guest. Each morning she offered tea, coffee, and sweet treats. The room was roomy and cool, with strong air conditioning, a made bed, and fresh towels every day. The fridge and bathroom floor could have been cleaner, though I’m not very fussy about that. It’s right in the middle of everything and good value if you’re travelling alone on a budget. The room was soundproof enough that I slept well. If you want a spotless, newly renovated luxury hotel, this probably isn’t the place for you.

I’ve visited Cannes three times, and Hotel Carolina is the only place I’d recommend. You can walk easily to restaurants, pubs, and pretty much everything else. Carolina and her staff are always around and the service is excellent. The rooms are spotless, and breakfast is very good. Maxou, Carolina’s sweet dog, is a lovely extra touch.

The staff were so welcoming that we felt at home, and the hotel was exceptionally clean and felt very safe. Our beds were incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly on the warmer days. The location was great too, just a two-minute walk from the beach. Shops are close by, including Sephora, Zara, and several good hairdressers. There’s a supermarket nearby, and the cafés at the bottom of the stairs give the area a lovely feel. We’ve just finished our stay and would definitely come back.

The owner and administrator was always available and really kind. Our room was spacious, stylish, and air-conditioned. The hotel is right in the centre, just a few steps from the beach, restaurants, and shops. We had a wonderful time in Cannes and will definitely stay here again.
