Chanteclair Hotel

The courtyard was peaceful, and we loved having breakfast there. Chanteclair is a basic hotel, but it’s clean and excellent value for somewhere in central Cannes. Pascal was a friendly host, and thanks to Adam too. The location is perfect.

It worked for one night, and the staff were friendly. The main plus is how close it is to the train station, and the price is okay. My room had a shower, but I wondered whether it had been cleaned because there were lots of stains. There was also a very dusty fan I didn’t dare use. The neighbourhood isn’t quiet. People outside with fast cars and pretentious attitudes made noise all night, and some people were shouting swear words at each other in the street. Other guests weren’t keeping things quiet either. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

The owner welcomed us so warmly, and breakfast was really good for €9 per person. It’s a French-style breakfast with baguette, croissants, marmalade, butter, coffee, orange juice, and water. The owner serves it, and you can eat outside. The hotel sits on a calm side street with a lovely terrace and outdoor area. Restaurants are a minute away, and the sandy beach is a nine-minute walk. The rooms are tiny, the bed wasn’t great, and there’s no air conditioning, just a fan. Good value for the price.

The rooms aren’t luxurious, but they’re really pretty and more than good enough for the price. The front garden and breakfast area are beautiful, and the location is just right, close to all the nice things in Cannes without being too loud. There’s also a friendly, cute dog to welcome everyone. It has a familiar, relaxed atmosphere, and the staff were the friendliest and most welcoming I’ve ever experienced. ❤️❤️❤️
