Apartment Florian

We had two cosy apartments for three adults and two dogs, and found the stay comfortable and affordable in the heart of Cannes. The French breakfast was lovely, the staff were extremely friendly, and parking was just two minutes away. We could hear children at a nearby kindergarten, though we thought it added an authentic charm. A great off-season stay, highly recommended.

For the price, the location is hard to beat. There are hotel rooms and apartments to choose from, but I’d go with a hotel room. They’re simple and have the essentials, including air conditioning. The apartments can be noisy, and cigarette smoke may drift in.

The bathroom door was the one letdown: it slid open by itself and didn’t fit quite right. Everything else felt like good value, and I’d happily come back. The room was fresh and very clean, with a comfy bed, a powerful shower, and reliable, excellent Wi-Fi. Breakfast was included, just a small one, and the nights were quiet with no street noise. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the Promenade and lots of shops and restaurants.

The city location, service, and price were all good, which is why I gave it three stars, though those feel generous. We were in a self-catering room a little way down the street from the hotel itself, and nobody warned us about the noise. Thursday and Friday were manageable. On Saturday, the restaurant or club downstairs blasted music until 2am, loud enough to make the room vibrate. The hallway carried sound too, and the fridge clicked now and then, so sleeping was rough. The shower needs maintenance, as does the kitchen sink handle. The bathroom handle could come out of its socket, leaving you at risk of getting locked in. There’s no oven or lift in the building.
