Hotel Molière

The hotel is good value and in an excellent location, and the staff were good. The photos are accurate: the rooms have nice balconies overlooking a pleasant courtyard. The air conditioning worked well, and the rooms were comfortable, though tired. The room itself is very small, and the bathroom is the smallest I’ve ever experienced in continental Europe. Breakfast was my biggest disappointment. It was quite expensive, had little to no variety, nothing hot, and the quality was average at best.

The service was great, and Charles gave us a lovely welcome. Outside, the area is beautiful and quite peaceful. Our room was small but had a nice balcony. Breakfast was very basic. I struggled with the lack of bottled water, a kettle, and tea or coffee in the room. I’ve never stayed anywhere without water in the room. Still, I had a lovely stay, thank you.

The location was perfect, which made the room a real shame. We booked two economy rooms, and I never expected that to mean such awful conditions. The carpets were dirty and stained, the curtains dingy, and the walls scratched and peeling. The shower floor was dirty too. It felt like a jail cell and looked nothing like the website photos. Even an economy room at a 3 star hotel should meet basic three-star standards. This felt more like a 1 star room. We were horribly disappointed, and I actually considered leaving without staying the night.

A charming little boutique hotel with nice, well-equipped rooms and a very welcoming team. The service was perfect, and the location is great, close to the beach and luxury shops. Looking forward to coming back next year!
