The room change was a downgrade from the deluxe double I’d booked: we ended up in a smaller, older room with two single beds pushed together. The air conditioning never stopped blowing hot air, even after maintenance cleaned the filters, and at night the room stayed hot and suffocating. I raised the problems with the manager, but the only offer was free breakfast for the stay. It wasn’t tasty, and it didn’t address what had gone wrong. The reception staff had been rude and unhelpful from the beginning. When I asked for an ironing board, they said none were available because the hotel was fully booked, then offered ironing at €10 per dress. Eventually they brought one, but it was broken. At checkout I asked again and got another broken board. A very disappointing stay for a hotel calling itself four-star. The service felt poor and unprofessional, and what I got was far below what I paid for. Not worth the price or the rating.

The breakfast was the one bright spot, with a decent range of options, though at €26 per person we expected it to be good. Everything else left us regretting our choice. We travel several times a year, are easygoing guests, and booked this hotel for a conference because there weren’t many alternatives. After our flight, we just wanted to freshen up. At check-in they told us there was no hot water because of a gas outage. We understood, but even after we discussed it, the hotel offered no gesture, such as breakfast. It seemed they considered the lack of hot water not their problem. The room had a badly fitted shower that flooded the bathroom floor, and hot water took 4 to 5 minutes to arrive. The carpet was awful, the air conditioning blew straight onto the bed, and the motion-sensor toilet light took several minutes to switch off, which was frustrating at night. The bed was hard, and the minibar was empty. The pool area was also disappointing. The loungers were faded, uncomfortable, and marked with bird droppings; there were leaves in the water and more droppings around the pool. Reception staff didn’t seem welcoming or helpful, and looked as if they didn’t want to be there. We strongly advise against this hotel if you want somewhere pleasant, clean, and comfortable. It doesn’t feel like a four-star place, maybe two or three stars at best. We’re honestly upset we chose it. Don’t be fooled by the photos.

The hotel itself was just okay, and the breakfast buffet was small but okay too. I might have rated it higher if not for one very rude valet. There was a mismatch with my third-party booking during check-in. The receptionist was genuinely trying to sort it out, and soon resolved it by calling the manager. But while she was helping, the valet nearby jumped into the conversation and verbally attacked me. He was arrogant, said the booking problem was my fault, and told me I had no right to complain. He kept staring and trying to act smart even after the receptionist had fixed things. A long-haired man with a ponytail, maybe Spanish. He shouldn’t be working in customer service.

We were five adults and three kids in three rooms. My family’s room had a separate bedroom, a sofa bed, a toilet, and a bathroom with a tub and shower. The shower and tub were good, but the carpeted room had a narrow balcony. There was nowhere to hang the toilet towel, and the towel rail got extremely hot on max, so be careful with kids. We couldn’t turn the bedroom TV toward the bed because the sliding door was in the way, and road noise came through despite being on the fifth floor. The gym was a letdown: no heavier weights or bar for squats, even though there seemed to be room for more equipment. Breakfast was good by my experience in France, but they wouldn’t let us leave early and eat before opening, even though we needed to go around 7:15-7:30 and asked about it. The pool stayed shaded until lunchtime, then only part of it got some sun. There weren’t enough loungers, though there were plenty of pool towels. Ants need dealing with, and wasps and bees circled the pool. The lift to the fifth floor was slow. There’s a small grocery store about 200 m away and a larger one, Intermarche, around 700 m away. Compared with the staff in Thailand, the service here wasn’t at the level where people ask if there’s anything they can do for you.
