Cavendish

Celebrating our anniversary here felt really special. The welcome was warm, and the hotel is very romantic, especially for couples. The staff make the place, with thoughtful hospitality everywhere and wine tasting each day. It’s in a quiet spot right at the edge of Cannes city center, so we didn’t need a car to get around. If you do drive, I’d reserve the daily valet service so you don’t have to worry about the car.

We’ve returned to this lovely little hotel regularly, and its friendly atmosphere is a big part of why. The rooms are spotless and furnished comfortably. The convenient location helps, and breakfast plus the evening wine tasting are nice extras. The staff give excellent service, and for what you get, it’s great value in beautiful Cannes.

Le Cavendish is cute and charming, though our stay ended up disappointing. The room’s carpet was wet on the first night, then it smelled damp and musty the next, so we left. The staff were kind and refunded us. Getting there was a pain too, with a one-lane street and no easy parking. I even had to move the no-parking signs myself. Breakfast was a basic continental spread, heavy on carbs, with eggs costing extra. And it was farther from Boulevard de la Croisette than we wanted.

The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, and its small size makes it easy for guests to chat and share stories in the evenings. Getting to the surrounding areas was easy, and the service was excellent throughout our stay. The staff were exceptional and really went out of their way to make it a great visit.
