Le Fouquet's

This hotel was awful. We were put in a residential building that wasn’t even part of the hotel. I expect daily cleaning and fresh towels and bedding at a hotel, but there was dust under the bed and the sheets were dirty. The air conditioners were old, weak, and dirty. The room was only cleaned after I insisted. The receptionist said it was already 13h p.m. and too late to clean; she was rude, mocking, and showed no empathy. The bathroom had strange, badly placed construction. I hit my head on the wood above the toilet and split my head open, with a lot of blood. I spent the night in hospital and missed a flight to another destination, as well as the hotel there. I asked for a late checkout, but she mocked the video I showed her and said, “because of that? My family are all doctors.” That piece of wood was in the wrong place and built incorrectly. I could have died. It’s hard to believe nobody else has hit their head there, or still will.

Monique is a wonderful host, always greeting you with a smile. It’s a lovely family-run hotel in Cannes, with apartments available too. Each room has its own decor, and comfort really sums the place up.
