Hotel Montaigne & Spa

A basic hotel with good cleanliness. The rooms and breakfast are both basic, though the shower pressure is good. Air conditioning is controlled centrally. It’s a 5 minute walk to Rue DE Antibes and 8 minutes to Palais DE Festivals.

The location is great, about five minutes from the beach, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast worked really well for us since we don’t eat meat. Compared with other French guests we’ve encountered, the selection suited us perfectly. The hotel seems to have been remodeled recently, and everything looks new. So far, everything has been good.

I was the first of us to arrive for our three booked rooms. My room wasn’t ready, which I understood since official check-in is at 3 PM. They then said it would be ready by 2 PM, which seemed fine. I asked whether any of the rooms were available yet and was told that all three were still unavailable. But when my travel companions got there later, before the official check-in time, they were given their rooms right away. I’d already been waiting almost 3 hours, with no courtesy or effort to make me feel welcome. The staff weren’t friendly and showed no understanding. Very poor service and no hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!

This was THE WORST HOTEL IVE EVER STAYED AT. The AC didn’t work at all, and there was nobody to help because there’s no concierge at night. I tossed and turned all night. It’s a disgrace to call this a 4 star hotel. It’s definitely a 1 star.
