I spent a week in a Golfe-Juan property booked through Interhome, and it was an inconvenient Airbnb experience with surprise extra charges. We had to collect the key at their Cannes office instead of at the property, which meant an hour-long round trip. Communication was poor, too. An email said there was a €48 deposit for towels and linen, but after our holiday we were told it was an extra charge on top of the stay. The property was well located for transport, and the local residents were friendly and helpful. Those were the only redeeming points.

I haven’t even stayed there yet and dealing with this place is already a nightmare. No linen or towels, and the staff are rude and a nightmare to deal with. I’d rather sleep under the stars than have to deal with these people!

I felt duped. I booked an apartment in Antibes and was asked to pay a non-refundable amount upfront. Only after that did Interhome tell me the keys had to be collected in Cannes, another town! I’ve rented many apartments, but I’ve never come across anything like this.
