I only wish we'd had more time here. Valérie and Pascal, who own the place, were friendly and helpful. Our flight was delayed and we got in late, so Pascal called to check that we were okay. From there it's an easy walk to the main shopping streets and the pedestrian areas with cafés and restaurants. The rooms have a Hollywood theme and feel cozy. For a reasonable price, breakfast was filling and good: crusty bread, sweet bread, croissants, fresh fruit, jam, butter, ham, cheese, orange, coffee, and a selection of teas. Their little dog Spike was usually around, ready for belly rubs.

The price was a really nice surprise, especially for a stay this comfortable. It’s a small hotel in a quiet spot, about 15 minutes on foot from the train station. Rue Hoche’s restaurants and shops are around 10 minutes away, and the Promenade is another 10 minutes beyond that. The hosts were exceptionally polite and helpful, and clearly proud of the place. The room had the usual amenities, all looking new and working properly. A lovely stay.

I was there for nearly a week and ended up really liking the hotel. The owners are so friendly, and they’re always happy to suggest places to eat or things to see. My room was cozy and clean, with a kettle, fridge, and tea and coffee. Breakfast was delicious too.

We spent 10 lovely days here, and the location made it easy to get around Cannes. Restaurants and pubs of all kinds are nearby, as is a daily flea market about five minutes away. The Plage Long Beach is a 10-minute walk, while the quai du Large, where boats leave for Saint Tropez and the Isles, takes 20 to 30 minutes to reach. Carolle and Laurent were among the friendliest hosts I’ve met on our travels around the world. They were always ready to help if a problem came up, and it was a pleasure staying at their hotel. The website photos accurately show what the hotel is like. For a 3 star hotel, I’d give it 4 out of 5.

This was my first visit to Cannes, and I feel lucky to have found this hotel. It’s central, and the proprietor is personable and really makes an effort to offer friendly accommodations and great service. I’d recommend it.
