Résidence Cannes Villa Livia

The surroundings are lovely, which makes the state of the place even more of a waste. We own a timeshare and arrived June 10, 2025, but left the following day. I work in tourism and would never offer accommodation like this. The building and gardens were neglected apart from the pool area, and the caretaker was rarely around. There is an emergency number, but no one answered. My mother, who wasn't there when it happened, later found she couldn't get out through the pool access door and had to call the fire department. After another emergency call about a hornet's nest under the terrace awning, still nobody responded. The awning itself was stained and moldy. The apartment was very dirty and unhygienic, as if it hadn't been cleaned. Linens were rented for €16 but were dirty, and the pillows were yellow. The few dishes weren't clean either. There was damp, bad smells, and mold, while the walls and doors were badly deteriorated. The air conditioning didn't work properly, the gate was broken, and the elevator was filthy. The renovation supposedly done in 2024 felt like a cover-up. The hotel club wasn't honest. We couldn't rent or even stay in this apartment, yet we're paying fees for nothing. Nice photos wouldn't show what it's really like. I have more photos but can't post them all. We're disgusted, and I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone.

For all the dirt, the cutlery was disgusting, spiders were in the ceiling corners, and even after three bleach cleanings the toilet still stank. The balcony and shared areas were filthy, and the apartment itself was too. Utensils and appliances looked like they dated from 1986. The pool is small. The building's location is good, about five minutes on foot from the beach and 35 minutes from the old port, but I don't recommend this residence.

Jonathan, a very charming young man, welcomed us and took care of everything we needed. The residence is quiet and very well located. It could certainly use a renovation, but we still had a really good time and would be happy to come back once the work is finished.

The pool was out of use for two days because its pump wasn't working, and the gate made a lot of noise while staying open around the clock. The apartment also let in noise from the other tenants. We arrived August 19, 2023 for a week and had to clean on arrival, including doing the dishes and washing the coffee maker. The bathroom ventilation was broken. The price felt high for what we got, and the cleaning needs attention, in my opinion it hadn't been done properly for a long time. The rentals need work on the flooring, skirting boards, and kitchen cabinets. Above all, they need air conditioning: with 40 degrees Celsius outside, it was unbearable. I absolutely don't recommend this residence.
