The beach is right behind the house, with easy access down its side, and the sunsets there are amazing. The train station is back there too, so nearby cities are easy and affordable to reach. I’d stay at Villa Belle Rive again and tell friends and family about it. I felt at home quickly, which was lovely as a solo traveller. Daniella was kind and interesting; we shared stories over coffee, and she gave me helpful recommendations for making the most of my visit. The house feels more personal than a hotel. The garden is like paradise, full of beautiful, well-kept plants and flowers. There’s a huge, spotless pool at the back, and swimming there was so refreshing. The whole house gets fresh air and is ventilated all day, which felt great after time in air-conditioned places. The shared bathrooms, showers, and bedroom were exceptionally clean, with not a speck of dirt. I chose Villa Belle Rive for its value, lovely-looking garden, location, and its beautiful 1860s building. It exceeded my expectations, especially after staying in plenty of budget hostels and hotels.

We were lucky to get the room with two terraces, one facing the sea and the other with a view of the Cannes hills. Both were stunning. There are more budget-friendly rooms too, so there’s an option for different budgets. The owners were very kind, and breakfast included lovely homemade bread. This beautiful beachside villa, built in 1863, has a lovely garden and swimming pool, along with plenty of history. It feels like the sort of place where French socialité and boheme from the end of the 18th century and beginning of the 19th spent their summers. We stayed for five days and will definitely come back. Our place in Cannes!

The villa has a lot of atmosphere, and the garden is lovely, with spots in sun and shade. The pool is inviting and a cool relief in the heat. Service was excellent, and it’s easy to reach the beach, shops, restaurants, and transport. The area north of la Bocca is beautiful and well worth visiting.

It felt homey, and the price was very good for what we got. My single room was clean and still spacious, with a shared bathroom and shower room. There’s a door leading to the seaside, and getting into town is easy, with a bus stop only 50 metres away. The staff were welcoming and super friendly when we arrived and throughout the stay.

The buildings are beautiful, though the vibes feel a bit off. If you’re booking at the last minute, you could do worse.
