The apartment, Acanthes, Croix des Gardes, was a complete nightmare. It belongs to an Englishman and is managed by Ms. Sylvie Thilliez, who clearly doesn’t know her properties. In our exchanges, Ms. Thilliez treated us like idiots and dismissed my complaints with disdain. I strongly recommend avoiding this agency. It clearly doesn’t care about its clients, and perhaps not the owners either, judging by the reviews. The apartment was nothing like its description. The parking outside the residence was unguarded and often full. The basic air conditioning drained water onto the terrace, either into a bucket that had to be emptied daily or overflowing and soaking the terrace. The terrace was filthy, the plants were dried out, and the garden furniture was disgusting and unusable. The cushions were supposed to be white, but were gray and stained, not fit for a dog. This two-room apartment was dirty, including the floors and walls. The kitchen was equipped, but cheaply: no coffee cups, mismatched tiny dishes and glasses, little mismatched cutlery, so we had to run the dishwasher twice a day. The coffee maker was disgusting, the kettle was covered in limescale, and there were just two old rags for dishcloths. We had to buy a whole cleaning kit, including dishcloths, cleaning products, and rubbing alcohol. The toilet smelled of urine. Nothing was right, and this agency, especially its manager, should be avoided at all costs.
