We keep choosing Hotel Miramar whenever we’re back on the French Riviera. The family who runs it are just as warm and welcoming each time, and that’s a big part of what makes us return. It’s a peaceful place with genuine hospitality, not a luxury hotel, and the value is good compared with many nearby options. Cap d’Ail is a great base: the beach is a few minutes away on foot, with restaurants, cafés, shops and supermarkets close by. Getting around is easy too, around 30 minutes from central Nice and about 10 minutes by bus to Monaco. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, and many have a lovely sea view.

We’d happily return. The host was kind when we arrived and again as we left, and the room she suggested had a gorgeous French Riviera view for a very reasonable price. It’s a little hidden gem between Monaco and Beaulieu-sur-mer. Mala beach is only about a 10-minute walk away, and the walk to Monaco takes 30-40 minutes along the cliffs, with outstanding views. The room was on the small side, but worked perfectly for our 3-night stay.

The bus stop right outside made getting to Monaco simple. Buses run every 15 minutes and cost around €3. The hotel is also close to one of France’s prettiest beaches. I had everything I needed in the room, and Beatrice was a really friendly, helpful host. I enjoyed staying here and would definitely come back.

The delicious breakfast and very clean hotel made our 4 nights at Hotel Miramar in Cap-d'Ail a lovely stay. We felt genuinely welcome and appreciated throughout. Our car trouble meant we arrived after regular check-in, but we had contacted the hotel beforehand. The receptionist was very helpful and sent the entry code by both SMS and email, so arriving late was smooth and stress-free. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it for exploring the Côte d'Azur.

The staff were really friendly and spoke English well. Our room was clean and breakfast was good. The bus stop for Monaco or Nice is less than a minute away on foot. Just note that the stop name changes with your direction: get off at "Edmond's Cap-d'Ail" or "Beaverbrook".
