The young guy who served us was really nice, but the meal was disappointing. The food came out at different times, and we had to ask for our drinks four times. The food ranged from average to poor: the chicken in the salad was dry and rubbery, and the beef stir-fry had way too much soy. We also couldn't pay with their machine at the end.
After nearly two hours, the meal finally arrived, and it was completely bland, with no salt, flavor, or sense of tradition. The fire alarm kept ringing, which was annoying, and the service took ages. We were very disappointed and felt we'd ended up in a tourist trap.
We came for lunch twice, just the two of us, on a weekday in May, and enjoyed both the tasty food and friendly service. Each time we had noir ble, buckwheat galettes folded into squares with fillings like ham or lardons, potato, and cheese, plus a green salad on the side. With a pression each, it was about €32 for two.
I had a peaceful evening and really enjoyed some time to myself. The dish I ordered was excellent, and it came out very quickly.
We LOVE the BALCON, it’s our neighborhood place for dinner and it’s always tasty and friendly. JOSE, EDDIE and the whole team work so hard. Congrats, guys, we love you 😘 Keep it up!
