The fresh breakfast and coffee were delicious, and the room was clean and comfortable. The chambre d’hôte is right in the center, and the owners are friendly, interesting people with a great sense of humor. There’s a pool, which we didn’t try, and a very cute cat who apparently counts as one of the proprietors. Highly recommend.

Dinner, cooked by the husband, was simply delicious, and the hosts were very welcoming and sociable. We had an excellent stay. Buzz the cat is both the boss and the star.

We spent three wonderful days at La Soulenque. The hosts were perfect, and sharing meals with them was memorable, with great conversation and a relaxed feel. It was France at its best, full of warmth, humor, and a joy for living.
