The peaceful surroundings were perfect for our little dog, with woodland and fields nearby for him to run around. The hotel itself was clean and well kept, and there’s a pool plus a games room with pool and ping pong tables. We came up from the south of France for a few days while I was working in the area. The owner and his wife were lovely, and she’s a fantastic cook. We enjoyed the food and became friends with their son too. We had such a good stay that I’ll come back when work brings me here again. Thanks to all of you for looking after us.

The host was especially welcoming, and I really liked the hotel. It’s been renovated, perhaps a few years back, but it still has plenty of charm. The surrounding forest and walking paths make it a very peaceful spot, with no bright lights at night or noisy roads nearby.

The staff are friendly and the setting is wonderfully quiet. The rooms, though, need a proper clean and an update. They feel like a step back into the 80s, with that same stale, damp smell.
