Getting around on foot to the city centre takes a while, though having a car makes that easy. We spent three nights at Fasthotel in Carcassonne and found it much like a Travelodge or Premiere Inn in the UK, with the essentials covered and a few nice extras. Our room was roomy and spotless, and the welcome was friendly. It’s clean, good value, and I’d happily stay again, despite it being a little out of the way.

The bathroom felt cramped at about 3m2, and the bungalow-style room wasn't especially comfortable. Still, given the price, it seemed fair enough. The hotel is also a long way from the Carcassonne citadel.

The room was faultless, and the food was good. Jeremy was really helpful too. A great budget option before or after a flight.

At 56€ a night, you get what you pay for. The quality for the price isn't too bad.

The beds were comfortable, and the service was great. It’s also close to both the airport and the supermarket.
