Le Patio Cathare

The hosts were so welcoming and helpful, and the location is great.

The staff were friendly, and the place was clean, but it was very cramped. When it rains, you get wet on the way to the bathroom. The food was basic and poorly prepared: the meat was dry and tough, and the fries were burnt. I wouldn't go back.

Raymond, the owner, was lovely and helped us with everything. He doesn't speak Spanish or English, but we still managed to understand each other perfectly. We stayed three nights on our Carcassonne trip and would happily return. It's a charming, functional house very close to the Cité, with a beautiful view of the citadel from the bathroom window. There's a bathroom, kitchen, living room, and bedroom, and it can sleep up to four if you use the sofa bed in the living room.

It's a roomy, pleasant apartment close to the Citadel entrance, and indoor parking is included. There's no air conditioning, but opening the window a little keeps it cool at night.
