Disappointed by the unfinished touches in this renovated old village house. It has a large living room, but the sofa is torn and there are no bedside lamps in the bedrooms. The swimming pool was dirty and uncovered, and parking in the dead-end street was impossible.

The house itself has a lot going for it, so it’s a shame it’s been left in such poor shape. Several things need fixing: the shower only gives hot water because the thermostat faucet is broken, both door handles are damaged, the dining room window won’t lock shut, and the shower door handle is broken too. There’s also a broken chair and five or six dead bulbs. The photos made the place look great, but that wasn’t what we found.

The patio floor is falling apart, and you can’t lock the outside of the room. Inside, there was food left open, cupboards full of junk, a dirty extractor hood, and big stains on the cushions and chairs. Several bulbs were out as well. A window pane seems to have been broken, since the window had been removed and left in a junk room. I have so many photos I could go on forever. We definitely won’t be coming back.

We arrived with our children and had nowhere to stay. Although we’d booked and paid through Booking.com, the accommodation had already been occupied for months, and the tenants said they’d remain for several more. The owner was extremely unpleasant when I called. Avoid this place at all costs.
