Watching the boats come and go was entertaining all by itself, even though the barge is near other traffic on the Canal Du Mudi. It stays calm and quiet there, and town is only about a 10-12 minute drive away. We loved the cozy, comfortable room and their house cat, Melisse. Johnathan and Barbara were thoughtful, welcoming hosts, and greeted us with a welcome drink and a tasty breakfast. Staying on Peniche Mirage was a unique experience, well off the beaten path. If you want to make an unusual memory while travelling, this is the place.

We had such a lovely time aboard the houseboat with our hosts, Jonathan and Barbara. It's a peaceful spot for one or more nights, and an unusual stay full of discoveries. Thank you so much!

The room was gorgeous, with a view of the Canal du Midi, and breakfast was excellent. The owners of the barge were incredibly kind and made it feel like a peaceful, friendly little haven. Ulysses deserves a mention too, such an adorable, cuddly cat! Our first visit, but definitely not our last. Thanks for a lovely stay together, and see you soon! Mylene and Cindy

It was our first time in Carcassonne and our first night on a barge. The setting was beautiful and so peaceful, and we had a warm welcome and a superb breakfast. Our cabin was really comfortable, with its own bathroom, so we couldn't hear the neighbors. Getting to relax in the jacuzzi in such a tranquil spot with that view was lovely. Ideal for a special romantic getaway!
