SOWELL COLLECTION Hôtel du Roi & SPA

The food was absolutely delicious, and all the staff were warm and welcoming. Yari and the director, Delphine, gave us thoughtful, attentive, professional service from the moment we arrived. The bike service, accommodation, and even the smallest details were handled with care. My boyfriend arranged a romantic surprise in our room, champagne, flowers, and desserts, and it made the experience unforgettable. The atmosphere felt comfortable and luxurious, with true 5-star service. I’d highly recommend Hotel du Roi & Spa for a memorable stay. Thanks again for making our visit so special! 🥂

I loved my stay, and the staff and managers made it special. The bar and restaurant manager and his team were especially amazing. The evening meals were great, as was the local wine. Breakfast had hot and cold choices and was good when everything was available, though sometimes things weren’t replenished. My deluxe room had a lovely covered terrace overlooking the bridge and city. The rooms are fantastic, with a 7ft bed that can be made into twins, and the bathrooms are also great, semi open-plan to the bedroom with a separate loo. That layout may not suit friends sharing unless you’re very comfortable with an open bathroom, but I’d recommend it to couples or solo travellers. The hotel is right next to the pont Vieux, with one of the best views of the Citie. It’s about a 15-minute uphill walk away. I’d recommend it to couples or adult travellers who enjoy a bit of luxury.

The indoor pool was nice, though the changing rooms and shower could use an update. That wasn’t a deal breaker. Friendly staff, a lovely terrace and bar, and a great view from a perfect location. It’s a short walk to the castle.

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was amazing, and Yari and the other reception staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our beautiful, comfortable room had amazing views of the cité from its balcony.
