Orangerie de Cardet B&B

We only booked one night at Orangerie de Cardet, and quickly wished we'd stayed longer. The town is quaint and lovely to visit, and the property itself is beautiful. Mathijs and Sabine were so kind and hospitable. There’s a lovely courtyard, stylish comfortable rooms, Wi-Fi, and a huge kitchen and dining area, with plenty of rooms and apartments that would suit a large group. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was superb, with fresh bread and homemade marmalades. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, and had good beds. It's a lovely place in a very old Orangerie, with a beautiful garden. The hosts are very friendly and speak four languages: English, French, Dutch, and German.

The area is beautiful, with lovely towns, the beach, and a lovely hinterland all within an hour's drive. I spent a week in one of Sabine and Mathijs' beautiful gites and came away feeling completely relaxed. The bed was comfortable, and breakfast came with delicious homemade jam every day. Mathijs and Sabine are fantastic hosts. I definitely recommend staying here, and I'll be back next year.

There are fun activities and nice villages within driving distance, and the Côte d’Azur is reachable by car too. We spent a week at l’Orangerie de Cardet, in a beautiful green part of sunny Southern France with the river Gardon nearly in the backyard. The rooms have a lovely typical French atmosphere, and the hosts do everything they can to make you feel at home. What a breathtaking property, this gem is absolutely worth visiting.
