Scam! Beware. The manager charged us extra, and the rooms were filthy. There were signs of bedbugs. Other reviews mention him overcharging people too. Don’t stay here.

We were only there for one night, but slept extremely well. The room was clean and the mattress very comfortable. The owner was pleasant and welcoming. We didn’t try breakfast this time, but will next visit. We’ll definitely return to this establishment.

The manager was cheerful, friendly, and kind, and welcomed my son and me warmly for our one-night stay. He suggested places to visit and gave us advice. We went, and were so glad we did. My son was thrilled to see the storks. Our room was nicely decorated and practical, and we slept really well. Breakfast had lots to choose from and was very generous. I highly recommend the place. Thanks again, Auberge aux Marais, for such a warm welcome.

A quiet location with a friendly owner, and handy for the D-Day beaches and museums. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was good value for money.

We stayed two nights. The room was clean and adequate for the price. My issue is with the owner. I privately told him that the individual Nutella packets on the breakfast buffet were five months past their March expiry date, hoping to spare him further trouble. He took it very badly, as he does with negative reviews. He then found my Google business listing and left a very bad review just to bring down my rating. That was fabricated and malicious, since we’ve never had a professional relationship. It was petty and unacceptable. I’ve worked with local authorities for 17 years and am in regular contact with the DGCCRF (French Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control), which oversees health and safety services. I know the difference between “best before” and “use by” dates, and I know these matters well. So who acted unprofessionally? A customer who politely tells the owner about an expired product, or an owner who says it’s no big deal for that type of product? Fair enough, but when you’re welcoming the public, you have a duty to avoid this. Who showed more ethics and consideration? I won’t spend any more time on this. You can read his response, which will surely be watered down with lies, like some of what he wrote in his Booking.com reply. I hadn’t even mentioned the expired products.
