Villa Mignucci

We only booked one night, which was such a shame because we loved the place. The terrace and its magnificent view were extraordinary. The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped, with a comfortable bed. Laurence's daughter welcomed us perfectly, and breakfast was very generous. Don't hesitate!

The apartment is beautiful, and we spent a wonderful, peaceful week there. The terrace has extraordinary 180-degree views of the gulf, making you feel as though you’re right above the water. A small path from the apartment leads to a Genoese tower, with superb views along the way. Walk another 5 minutes to the rocks below the terrace for a refreshing swim, or head to the harbor and its restaurants, just a few minutes away. One thing to know: the air conditioning is actually a fairly powerful fan, not a real air conditioner. Also, the path down to the sea is steep, so anyone with children should take care and wear sturdy shoes.

I had to cancel my May 8 to May 16 stay because lockdown prevented me from traveling and the boat was canceled. This person cashed my check after lockdown had been announced until May 11, then refused to refund me. They offered credit for 18 months instead. I don’t know whether I’ll be able to return within that time, for health reasons or otherwise. I find this very dishonest, since canceling my stay wasn’t a good idea.

A very bad experience, even though we never made it there. A storm had just hit Cargèse, and the host was prepared to welcome us without water or electricity and hadn’t warned us. The restaurants were closed, so we didn’t go. The host offered neither a refund nor credit. That’s 277 euros thrown out the window. A disgrace!
