Camping Le Domaine De Kermario

We rented a gite for a week. It was old and dirty, and our feet turned black when we walked barefoot. There were no curtains, and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. The campsite itself was okay, but didn’t feel like a 4-star place. There was only a small indoor pool and a small, very cold outdoor pool. The camping restaurant only took cash, no debit or credit cards. The entertainment was good, but in French.

We stayed 18-25th August in no.61, booked through a British holiday company, and were very pleased to find it was a Tohapi site. No.61 was spotless when we arrived and nicely tucked among the trees on the south edge of the site. Staff spoke very good English and were patient with my school-boy French. The cafe food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The shop was a little sparse but had all the essentials, and the chap running it was polite and helpful, though I’m afraid I didn’t ask his name. Guests chatted to each other and were really friendly, even though I think we were the only Brits in the village. Our kids made lovely friends. The pools aren’t anything special, but they did the job. It was easy to get to the local beaches, especially Carnac Plage, and to the alignments. I’d stay again.

The beaches nearby are very nice, but you’ll need a car. It’s a lovely location with a beautiful pool and nice staff.
