I didn't try the restaurant, and the 21€ breakfast was disappointing. The hotel itself is lovely, with comfortable rooms that are bright and clean.

The food was exquisite, and some of the best cooked and presented I've ever had the privilege of trying. The chef was friendly and creative, and the staff were welcoming and pleasant. The Michelin Star restaurant is what makes this 3 Star hotel so good. The hotel is great too, but without a pool or health spa it won't be 5 star, and you don't need those things here. I almost want to give it a bad rating to keep this special place a hidden gem, but I have to be honest. If you're thinking of coming, just book. You won't be disappointed, though I might be when I try to book again. Enjoy!

The surprise menu was such a treat. A short description couldn't do justice to how delicious it was. The place is beautiful, and the staff and owners were so friendly, making us feel warmly welcomed throughout our stay.

The room was 201. The walls were vinyl and peeling, likely because they weren't installed properly. There was no ventilation in the toilet, and no air-conditioning or fan in the room. We had to open the windows and balcony door in the evening, which let mosquitoes in overnight because there were no screens. Construction next door started at 8am. That's not the hotel's fault, but with no air-conditioning we had to leave a window open and put up with the noise. When we asked about bikes to borrow or rent, we were told, "Yes, but today it is not possible." We also asked them to arrange a taxi to the bus terminal, and were told, "This is a small town that is just not possible." Then came, "As you can see, we are extremely busy," though at the time there was only one table being served. The two dining rooms are separate, one for the restaurant and one for hotel guests. I planned to sit in the restaurant but was taken instead to a plain little room with walls. My wife wasn't feeling well and didn't want to walk into town, so I asked if the chef could make her soup. They said no, "It is not possible." When I asked why, I was told, "this not America." I was also told, "It is not possible." Those were the two most memorable things we heard during our stay. The service felt indifferent and annoyed when my wife asked for help with luggage. The price seemed fair until I considered the drawbacks. The one accommodation was that checkout was at noon and they let us store our bags for a couple of hours. I could say more, but readers can compare this with other reviews describing similar bad experiences at different times. There seems to be a recurring issue with some people, perhaps because we're not French, or something else. I don't know.

Breakfast was served in a small room at the back, not in the open area, and construction noise from across the bedrooms began at 8 AM. There’s no elevator, which matters if you have a sensitive back. This felt more like a two-star hotel. We also felt brushed off when we arrived, as if the owner wanted to get rid of us quickly because we were disturbing him. The attention seemed to be on the restaurant more than the hotel, at least from our experience. What a shame.
