The sea views from the pool deck and terrace were lovely, and Cassis itself was lovely too. But our eight-day stay was badly soured by the owners' behaviour. The husband and wife live on site; they seemed more suited to running a boot camp than a guest house. The husband kept coming into rooms to unplug chargers for reasons I couldn't understand, and we heard several loud rows between the two of them during the stay. My son's girlfriend broke her foot while we were there and ended up on crutches. We got little sympathy when we asked about the 11 a.m. checkout. They eventually let her leave the room and spend the afternoon by the pool because she had a late flight. At 11, though, the wife arrived with a cleaner to service our room. I was a few minutes behind and needed a shower, so I asked for five minutes, which she agreed to. At 11:03, the husband came storming into our room without being invited. His wife, the cleaner and my son saw it happen. I was rinsing off behind the shower curtain when he began shouting loudly at my wife for being late, saying he was paying cleaners to start at 11 and complaining that the kitchenette hadn't been put away, even though we'd washed the dishes. If my wife had been in the shower, it could have counted as sexual harassment. He eventually left after raging for a couple of minutes. We were all shocked, and my wife felt traumatised and abused. I'd never seen behaviour like it. They then went back on the agreement to let us stay by the pool, so by 11:07 we were out on the road with my son's girlfriend on crutches.

Breakfast was excellent, and the hosts were kind, taking time to ask each guest about their plans for the day. The property is beautiful and has an amazing view, which I think is a big part of its appeal. For the price, we had a great stay. Our bedroom and bathroom were small and looked tired, with orange walls and a purple bathroom. The pillows weren't enough, but we managed for our short visit. Thanks for hosting us.

The room had a cool ship theme, and the place itself is gorgeous with a lovely view. It's a nice place to stay, though the walk to central Cassis is fairly long. We had a car, but parking was tricky. They also only accept cash, so we had to drive to an ATM, find somewhere to park, then drive back. That was a hassle. I think they should get a card machine.

Breakfast on the terrace was the best part. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated, with a great view of the mountains and ocean. Service was very good and the people were lovely. We had a great stay and will be back!

The room, the setting and the views were wonderful, and the pool was lovely with vineyards all around it. I stayed for nine days, but the owners' poor service left a bitter taste and caused a lot of stress for what was a fairly costly holiday. We could hear the owners shouting at each other and at other guests from our room. It was very disturbing. The room didn't seem to get cleaned after we arrived. Near the end of the trip my girlfriend broke her foot, but the owners weren't willing to accommodate her or look after her bag after checkout. They made things difficult in general.
