Le Clos Des Arômes

We stopped here for lunch on the way to the airport and had a great meal. The charcoal grilled food was delicious, and the staff were wonderful. It’s only a four minute walk from the port, but feels nicely away from the bustle. Highly recommend.

The courtyard is a lovely shaded spot for eating outside, with trees overhead, and we really enjoyed the meal. The desserts were good too. My friend loved her lamb pasta, though to my taste there was more pasta than lamb. I had the shrimp, but they arrived completely unpeeled, so eating them was a lot of work. I ended up borrowing a napkin from the next table. That was disappointing.

Our room was thoughtfully laid out and the bedding was lovely, and the convenient location made our stay at Le Clos des Aromes a pleasure. We also ate at the restaurant, where everything was prepared perfectly. It’s tucked away from the busy port, but the pleasant courtyard and superb meal make the trip over worthwhile. Don’t miss it when you’re in Cassis.

I only tried the restaurant, and it was fantastic. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, and the setting in the big garden was so pretty. Our fish was charged at the market price of 130€, which felt quite expensive, though it was delicious and filling.
