Le Jardin d'Emile

The service really stood out, especially Charlyne, who made sure we had everything we needed for a great time in Cassis. Our room faced the sea and had a lovely private terrace. Across the street there’s an accessible beach for swimming, plus a beach bar/restaurant. Free parking saved us a lot of time and money. Town was an easy 8-10 minute walk away, close enough to get around but far enough to avoid excess noise. This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and I’d absolutely come back on a future visit.

We spent most of our time on the balcony of room 1, which is so spacious it feels like an extra room. I set up my home office there with the Mediterranean view while my partner rested inside. The view wins you over straight away, and I loved the rustic feel, colors, and decorations. The hosts were very courteous, and breakfast was really nice, though a bit pricey. The hotel sits quietly behind another hotel. At first I thought that might be a downside, but I ended up enjoying the privacy and quiet. There’s a beautiful beach and some cool cafes right outside, and it’s on the way to the Les Calanques hike, maybe saving 5-10 minutes compared with staying near the pier. The location is great. I had a couple of small gripes, like not much privacy for the toilet and dust on the balcony, but they didn’t spoil our stay. Happy to recommend it, though the room we booked seemed mainly suited to couples.

Le Jardin d’Emile is a charming little retreat just off the beach, and the staff were so attentive and helpful. Jacques even arranged a taxi for our very early train. I absolutely adored our stay, and I’ll be thinking about this special place for a long time. Definitely get the breakfast, it’s great!

We loved our stay at this lovely little hotel. It’s easy to walk to town, the Calanques, and the beaches, so it’s a great base for exploring Cassis. The rooms have AC, which we appreciated during a heat wave.
